Perth Crit Series, Race 1, Osborne ParkFirst of the Perth Crit Series and EHBS gets its first win.
Sam Smith won the support race with a nicely timed late attack, finishing strongly ahead of a fast finishing bunch with William Heath(Energy HR) crossing the line in 3rd. Nathan Lyons(Energy Hr) also finished a very nice 5th. These three guys are also running top 3 in the Santos Sprint King award. With both teams working so well together it will be hard for anyone else to top these guys.
The Ladies are also fielding an EHBS team. Nicole Whitburn finished in 5th place and Sarah-Jeanne Fraser crossing the line in 9th. In some of the hardest racing seen in a ladies event for some time. It was great to see our girls mixing it up with some of the best riders in the world.
The open event was hard and fast. With alot of attacks always happening, Eddy Hollands and Dylan Spiby covered the moves leaving Micheal Freiburg and Loic to conserve for the finish. In a rough and tumble sprint finish Loic crossed the line in 6th. Good start with better things to come.
Tomorrow night is Vic Park, the hardest curcuit of the series. Good luck to everyone.
